Help Wanted

Lousy Hours, Low Pay, but a Very Cool Hat

Firefighters do not like to ask for help - they provide help. They take your problem, make it their problem, fix the problem, and make things better then when they arrived.

There are many ways you can help. The Fire and Rescue Department has three main areas: Administration, Operations, and Operation Support. When you are ready to help us help the community, call (828) 526-9032 or come by our meetings every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Scaly Mountain Fire Station at 169 Hale Ridge Road.
